Use

The Caged Shadow shin guards are designed for kickboxing, Muay Thai, K-1 and MMA training. They are excellent for:

• Punching bag and pad work
• Technical training and combination drills
• Light to medium-intensity sparring
• Conditioning and kick intervals
• Regular club training

The anatomical design and solid padding make these shin guards a reliable partner for both offensive and defensive work, from kicking the pads to blocking incoming low kicks.

Material and construction

The exterior is made from premium synthetic leather with a matte black finish, a choice that ensures a sleek and professional look that doesn't wear quickly or become shiny. The solid padding on the front absorbs impact effectively and provides protection for both the shin and the instep. The anatomical design ensures that the guards follow the natural curve of your leg, which benefits wearing comfort and stability.

Closure and fit

The velcro closure with buckle combines the best of both worlds: quick and easy fastening thanks to the velcro, and extra stability from the buckle that prevents the protection from coming loose during intense combinations. This keeps the shin guard reliably in place, even during explosive kicks and clinch work. The adjustable system makes it possible to fine-tune the fit to your calf circumference.

Lightweight design

Although the shin guards offer solid protection, the total weight remains low thanks to thoughtful material choices. This allows you to move freely and dynamically without the protection slowing you down, an important advantage for fast combinations and agile footwork.

Size advice

The Caged Shadow shin guards are available in four sizes. Use the table below as a guide based on your height and weight:

• Small – approximately 1.55 - 1.68 m / 50 - 65 kg
• Medium – approximately 1.68 - 1.78 m / 65 - 80 kg
• Large – approximately 1.78 - 1.88 m / 80 - 95 kg
• X-Large – approximately 1.88 m and taller / 95+ kg

Are you between two sizes and do you have muscular calves? Then choose the larger variant for extra comfort and freedom of movement.

For whom?

These shin guards are suitable for beginners and advanced users looking for an affordable, reliable shin guard for their regular training. Ideal for kickboxers and Muay Thai practitioners starting more intense training and wanting to invest in good protection, and for recreational athletes taking kickboxing fitness classes. For very intense sparring or competition preparation, we recommend a professional sparring model with heavier padding.

Maintenance

Wipe the shin guards clean after every training session with a lightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Let them air dry, away from direct sunlight, and store them in a well-ventilated space to prevent odour and bacterial growth. Avoid machine washing to keep the synthetic leather and construction intact.
