With their optimal length, balanced weight and ergonomic grips, these training sticks are ideal for high-speed drills where timing, distance and movement intelligence are central. A practical addition to any training setup, from boxing to Taekwondo.

Features

• Ergonomic grips that minimise strain on hand, wrist and shoulder
• Perfectly balanced density and weight distribution for quick movements
• Optimal length that increases reach for realistic defensive drills
• Strike surfaces that produce a satisfying "pop" on a clean hit
• Wrist straps for a stable grip without constant clenching
• Reinforced double stitching for exceptional durability during intense use

Use

The Hayabusa Training Sticks are excellent for boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Karate and Taekwondo. They are specifically designed for:

• Defensive drills: slipping, ducking and parries
• Timing and reaction training
• Distance work and rhythm
• Counter work and movement intelligence
• Warm-up and speed building before sparring

The longer reach of the sticks makes it possible to simulate incoming strikes from a realistic distance, helping your fighter learn to stay mobile and sharp against outside attacks.

Material and construction

The exterior is made from durable PU leather with reinforced double stitching, making the sticks resistant to daily wear in a gym environment. The core contains high-quality EVA foam padding that absorbs impact without making the stick feel heavy or cumbersome. The result is a training tool that is as solid as it is light, suitable for long sessions with fast repetitions.

Grip and comfort

The ergonomic handles sit comfortably in your hand, so you as a trainer or partner can work for hours without strain on wrist or shoulder. The PU leather wrist loops keep the sticks secure in your hand, which is essential when you want to quickly change targets or give feedback between exercises. This allows smooth transitions between drills and keeps training tempo high.

Dimensions

• Length: 45 cm (17.7 inch)
• Width: 4.5 cm (1.8 inch)

These dimensions provide enough reach for defensive drills, while the compact width maintains manoeuvrability and speed.

For whom?

The Hayabusa Training Sticks are intended for trainers, coaches, instructors and sparring partners who want to develop their students in defensive technique, reaction time and footwork. Advanced amateurs who want to work seriously with a training partner on their defensive movements will also find these sticks a valuable tool. The sticks are used in pairs for optimal training results.

Why training sticks?

Training sticks complement focus mitts, paddles and Thai pads by adding a unique training dimension: realistic defensive simulation at distance. Whilst mitts focus mainly on offensive combinations, sticks challenge you to move, evade and react to an "attack". This develops slipping, rolling and parry techniques that are essential for any complete boxer or kickboxer. A good coach knows that defence is just as important as offence, and training sticks are the tool to practise that skill at tempo.

Maintenance

Wipe the training sticks clean after each session with a lightly damp cloth. Let them air dry, away from direct sunlight, and store them in a well-ventilated space. The combination of PU leather and double stitching makes maintenance minimal and lifespan long, even with daily intense use.

With the Hayabusa Boxing Training Sticks you choose a smart, versatile training tool that develops defensive technique, reaction and timing in your fighters. A valuable addition for any coach or trainer who wants to make their striking programme more complete.
